Laila Broussard is the President of PRSSA UD. Laila is originally from New Castle, DE. She is a senior in the Communication major with a concentration in Public Relations and minors in Political Communication and Journalism. Along with PRSSA, Laila serves as President of Sisters On The Move, a Reporter for The Review, an Each One Reach One Peer Mentor, a UD Student Alumni Ambassador, and a Campus Recreation Front Desk Staff member. Some of her favorite classes she’s taken at UD have been Congress and Multiplatform News Reporting and Writing. In her role, she's looking forward to continuing to build relationships with other PRSSA chapters within our Regional District. She's excited to experience the amazing opportunities PRSSA has to offer for example, ICON with a majority new board and seeing them experience it for the first time. She's also hopeful that we’re going to take PRSSA-UD to new heights while mentoring new board members.

Catherine Corrado is the Vice President. She is a senior in the Communication major with a concentration in Public Relations and a major in Spanish Studies. Catherine is originally from Upper Saddle River, NJ. Along with the PRSSA, Catherine is involved with Greek life and club tennis. Some of her favorite classes she’s taken at UD have been Media Relations for PR Professionals and Spanish Composition and Grammar II. This year, she’s really excited to work alongside the e-board, build meaningful connections with students, and contribute to a welcoming and dedicated organization. As Vice President and a senior, she’s especially excited to mentor younger students, support them as they grow into their college and professional careers, and help them build the confidence and skills they need to succeed. She’s also very excited to attend our field trips, participate in future Skill Slams, and go to ICON!

Vanessa Flaherty is the Promotions Director. She is a junior in the Communication major with a concentration in Public Relations and minors in Advertising and Event Planning Management. Vanessa is originally from Plains, PA. Along with PRSSA, Vanessa is involved with Blue Hen Ambassadors. Some of her favorite classes she’s taken at UD have been Intro to PR  and Social Media: Feminist Activism. In her role, she is looking forward to creating digital content to promote PRSSA on social media, increase engagement, and help bring in new members! She’s also excited to grow professionally, network with other PR professionals and her peers, attend field trips, go to ICON, and work alongside an amazing e-board team.

Sam Burns is the Director of Member Communications. She is a senior in the Communication major with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Advertising. Sam is originally from Cranford, NJ. Along with PRSSA, Sam is involved with Greek life. Some of her favorite classes she’s taken at UD have been, Public Relations Writing and Communication Research Methods. She’s excited about her role because it gives her real leadership experience and hands-on practice in the PR skills she wants to build her career on. 

Karla Saldana-Hernandez is the Director of Community Engagement. She is a senior majoring in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and minors in Advertising and Journalism. Karla is originally from Bridgeville, DE. Along with PRSSA, Karla is involved in UDress and Biweekly. Some of her favorite classes she’s taken at UD have been Intro to Public Relations and Cities, Town, Villas: Ancient Rome, Pompeii, and Ostia (onsite in Rome!) In her role, she is looking forward to working with our chapter committees and hosting our annual DEI Panel. She's thrilled to be part of this chapter, and cannot wait to see what we have in store this year! 

Kylie Marley is the Meetings Director. She is a senior in the Communication major with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Psychology. Kylie is originally from Hillsborough, NJ. Along with the PRSSA, Kylie is involved with Recreational Field Hockey and Greek life. Some of her favorite classes she’s taken at UD have been Communication in Technology and Politics and Public Speaking. In her role, she’s most excited to find speakers for our meetings, and work with our amazing team!
